GWSBC’s first independent specialty, Woodstock 2007, was well received and many in attendance said they really liked the location and atmosphere of the event.

Playing off the original Woodstock music event, GWSBC decorated the grounds with Flower Power and Hippie memorabilia.  Local Woodstock businesses supported the event by loaning items to the club for use the day of the event. 

All told the show proved to be a success as everyone enjoyed a day of fur and drool and sunshine.  Having learned much from their first independent specialty in several years, club members are confident that this show will only improve with time and that Woodstock 2008 will be even better.

Special thanks go to Tractor Supply for loaning GWSBC two exercise pens.  Thanks also to Fort Valley Nursery for loaning us several beautiful blooming potted plants to help dress up the grounds.  A very special thank you goes to members of the Harrisonburg Kennel Club for the use of their matting for the day’s event.  Thank you too to the members of the Woodstock home school group who prepared and offered lunch to exhibitors and spectators at a very reasonable price.  If not for the generosity and kindness of these businesses and organizations Woodstock 2007 could not have been the fun filled day that it was.
